Aadhaar mobile number update — and only that
We update the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar. That is the whole of what we do with Aadhaar, and we would rather say it on the first line than let you make a journey for nothing. Every other change — name, address, date of birth, photograph, biometrics, or a fresh enrolment — happens at a government Aadhaar Seva Kendra, not here.
You must come in person — the update is confirmed by your own fingerprint.
The one thing we do, and the many we do not
Most pages about Aadhaar on the internet are written to catch every possible search and then quietly hand your case to somebody else. This one is written the other way round. Our Aadhaar facility covers the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar, and nothing else. If you need your name spelled differently, your address changed, your date of birth corrected, your photograph replaced, your fingerprints or iris re-captured, or a first-time enrolment for yourself or a child, you need a government Aadhaar Seva Kendra and we will point you to one.
We operate an Aadhaar update point under centre ID GJCSCBC_VD_NO117976, and within it the mobile number update is the only service we run. We are not UIDAI, we are not a government department, and we do not decide anything about your Aadhaar record. What we operate is a small counter where the mobile-number update can be lodged correctly and confirmed with your fingerprint, so that the OTP-driven half of Indian life opens up for you again.
Our Aadhaar update centre ID — and exactly what it means
Our Aadhaar update centre ID is GJCSCBC_VD_NO117976. Quote it, write it down, ask us for it at the counter. We publish it because a number you can check is worth more than an adjective you cannot — and because in this trade you should never take a centre’s word for its own standing.
What it does not mean matters just as much. It identifies our Aadhaar update point. It does not make us UIDAI, it does not make us a government department, and it does not make us a full Aadhaar Seva Kendra. Kendras run enrolments and the name, address, date-of-birth and biometric changes that we send you elsewhere for. Within our own point, the only service we operate is the mobile number update.
UIDAI publishes its authorised centres on Google Maps and in the Mappls app, so any centre’s standing can be checked in seconds. Do that here and anywhere else — particularly if a website describes itself as an “official” Aadhaar centre without giving you a number to verify.
If anyone offers to change your Aadhaar remotely, walk away
No legitimate operator can change a name, address, date of birth or mobile number on your Aadhaar without you physically present and your biometric captured. Offers to do it "online", from a photocopy, or through a WhatsApp forward are at best a middleman quietly taking you to a Kendra anyway, and at worst an attempt to gain control of your identity. Your Aadhaar number, OTP and enrolment slip should never be shared with a stranger.

Find your nearest centre through UIDAI's own locator at appointments.uidai.gov.in. Booking an appointment there is free, and we have no involvement in it.
What an out-of-date mobile number actually costs you
People treat this as housekeeping and it is not. The number linked to your Aadhaar is the single point through which most of your paperwork now authenticates. When it is a number you stopped using in 2019, the following simply stop working, all at once and usually at the worst moment:
- The free instant e-PAN route. The income-tax portal issues a PAN free against an Aadhaar OTP. No live number, no free PAN — you end up paying for the long route instead. See our PAN card page for what that route involves.
- PAN–Aadhaar linking. The linking request is validated by OTP. An unlinked PAN goes inoperative, which raises TDS, blocks refunds and trips bank KYC.
- DigiLocker. Your driving licence, vehicle papers, PAN and education certificates in one place — the account is opened and recovered by Aadhaar OTP. Our DigiLocker guide covers what it is worth.
- Bank, mutual fund and insurance KYC. Paperless KYC is Aadhaar OTP based. Without it you are back to branch visits and physical forms.
- Income-tax e-filing. Return verification by Aadhaar OTP is the fastest route; without it you are posting a signed acknowledgement.
- Scholarships, pensions and subsidy transfers. Most state and central schemes confirm identity by OTP before releasing money.
None of this is dramatic on any single day. It becomes urgent the week you need a passport, a loan sanction or a refund, and discover that the gate is an OTP going to a number you no longer own.
How the update runs at our counter
- Check what is linked now. UIDAI's verification tool on myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in confirms whether a given number is on your record without revealing it. Plenty of people arrive sure of the answer and are wrong.
- Message us first. Tell us on WhatsApp that you need a mobile update. The whole cost is a flat ₹75 — the exact UIDAI-prescribed fee, which we pass on with no markup — and we tell you whether the counter is free that day.
- Come in person with your Aadhaar. Bring the new SIM in hand and working. You cannot send a relative — the request is confirmed by your own fingerprint.
- We lodge the request and you get a slip. The acknowledgement carries an update request number. Keep it until the change lands.
- UIDAI processes it. Typically a few days. Confirmation arrives on the new number, and you can verify it again on the UIDAI tool.
What we will tell you for free
