Refund policy: fair, and clearly stated

If we have not started, you get your professional fee back. Once work is under way, we deduct only for what has actually been done. Government fees and newspaper charges paid to a third party cannot be recovered by us. Here is exactly how it works.

The principle

How we think about refunds

Last updated: July 2026. Our refund policy rests on one fair idea: you should pay for work that has actually been done, and you should not lose money for work that has not. Because our charges and government charges are two different things, they follow two different rules — and the distinction matters most when a refund is involved.

Two kinds of money

Our professional fee is for our work and is refundable to the extent that work has not yet been performed. Government fees, stamp charges, notary charges and newspaper advertisement charges are paid onward to third parties; once they are paid, we cannot recover them, so they cannot be refunded by us.

Before work begins

If you cancel before we start

If you have paid our professional fee but we have not yet started work on your file — no drafting, no advertisement booked, nothing filed — you are entitled to a full refund of the professional fee. Just tell us before work begins.

We treat "work begun" honestly. Answering your questions and giving you a quote is not "work begun". Drafting your affidavit, booking your newspaper notice, preparing your application, or submitting anything to an authority or portal is.

After work begins

If you cancel once work is under way

If we have already carried out part of the job, we refund the professional fee minus a fair deduction for the work completed. What has been done determines the deduction:

  • Drafting done — for example an affidavit or application prepared and sent to you — a portion of the fee is retained for that effort.
  • Third-party steps taken — a newspaper notice booked, a notarisation arranged, a government or stamp fee paid — those specific amounts are not recoverable and are not refunded.
  • Application filed — once an application is submitted to an authority, the professional work is substantially complete and the professional fee is generally non-refundable.

We will always show you the breakup — what was done, what it cost, and what is being returned — so a refund is never a mystery.

Government & third-party fees

Charges we cannot refund

Non-refundable once paid to the authority

Government publication fees, application fees, stamp duty, notary charges and newspaper advertisement charges are paid to those bodies, not kept by us. Once paid, they follow the rules of that body — and government fees are almost always non-refundable even if the application is later withdrawn or rejected. We disclose these amounts before we pay them so you can decide with full information.

Similarly, if an authority rejects an application because of inaccurate or incomplete information that was supplied to us, the professional work was still performed and the government fee was still spent; neither is refundable, though we will help you correct and re-apply.

How to request

Requesting a refund

  1. Tell us as early as possible. Message us on WhatsApp or email help@harsiddhiservices.in, from the contact you engaged us with, stating the service and your reason.
  2. We confirm the stage. We check what has been done on your file and share an honest breakup of any deduction.
  3. We process the eligible amount. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method, typically within a reasonable number of working days depending on your bank or payment provider.

If you paid by card or UPI, please raise any concern with us directly before initiating a chargeback — a quick message usually resolves it faster than a dispute, and lets us show you exactly where your money went. This policy sits alongside our terms and conditions; where a specific written quote states different refund terms for a particular job, that quote governs that job.
