Insurance paperwork help — the honest kind, not the selling kind

Most people do not struggle with buying insurance. They struggle with the forms, the document lists, and the claim file nobody explains until they are standing at a hospital counter or an RTO desk. That is the part we help with. Harsiddhi Services reads the requirements with you, gathers and checks your documents, and helps you complete the insurer's own proposal or claim paperwork correctly. We are not an insurance company and not a licensed agent — we do not sell you a policy, we help you handle the paper it generates.

Please read this first — what we are not

Harsiddhi Services is an independent documentation and application-assistance firm. We are not an insurance company, and we are not an IRDAI-licensed insurance agent, broker or intermediary. We do not solicit or sell insurance policies, we do not recommend any insurer or product, and we do not quote premiums as offers. Our role is limited to helping you understand general requirements and to prepare, check and submit your own paperwork. Every policy term, premium and claim decision rests solely with the insurer, under the rules set by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). Nothing on this page is financial, legal or insurance advice.

Stop researching. Get it done.

Where we stand

The one line that shapes everything we do here

Insurance in India sits inside a licensing system. Under the Insurance Act, 1938, only licensed agents and registered intermediaries are permitted to solicit, sell or advise the purchase of a specific policy. That is not a technicality we tiptoe around — it is the reason this desk exists the way it does. We chose, deliberately, to stay entirely on the documentation side of that line, because it keeps our incentives clean. When nobody is paying us a commission to move a product, the only thing we are optimising for is your paperwork being correct.

So here is the plain division of labour. An insurer, or a licensed agent or broker, is who you buy a policy from, who quotes your premium, and who decides your claim. We are who you come to when the proposal form asks for six documents and you have four, when your name reads differently on your Aadhaar and your RC, or when a hospital hands you a reimbursement form and a checklist you have never seen before. We explain, we gather, we check, we help you fill and submit. We do not touch the sale, the premium, or the decision.

People sometimes expect us to say "and we will get you the best deal". We will not, because we cannot honestly promise it and are not licensed to pursue it. What we can promise is that you will understand your own options well enough to make the buying decision yourself, and that the documents behind whatever you decide will be in order. If you want a product recommendation, the right people to ask are a licensed insurer or an IRDAI-registered intermediary — and we will happily tell you that to your face.

Two desks

The two areas we help with

We keep this narrow on purpose. Vehicle and health are the two kinds of insurance where ordinary people in Vadodara most often get stuck on documents — a mandatory motor cover with an RTO deadline, or a hospital claim that has to be filed in days. Pick the one that matches your situation.

Both pages are written the same honest way as this one: real requirements, the law where it applies, and a clear statement of where our help stops and the insurer's authority begins.

What we do

Four things, and only four things

It is easy to describe this desk by what it refuses to do. It is more useful to describe what it does. Across both vehicle and health work, our help falls into four buckets — and every one of them is paperwork or plain explanation, never selling.

  1. We explain, in plain language. Third-party versus comprehensive. What an IDV is. What a waiting period means. Cashless versus reimbursement. These are the concepts people are quietly unsure about and rarely want to admit at a counter. We explain them neutrally — no product attached — so the decision you make afterwards is genuinely yours.
  2. We gather and check your documents. Every proposal and every claim runs on a document list. We tell you exactly what that list is for your situation, help you collect each item, and check them against each other before anything is submitted — because a name that reads differently across two documents is the quiet cause of a surprising number of stuck files.
  3. We help you fill the insurer's own forms. Proposal forms and claim forms belong to the insurer. We sit with you and help you complete them accurately and consistently, so the details match your documents and nothing that matters is left blank. You submit them through the insurer's channel; we make sure they are ready to go.
  4. We help you assemble a claim file. This is where people feel most alone — a discharge summary here, a set of bills there, an FIR for a theft, a form with fields they do not recognise. We help you put the whole file together in the order the insurer expects, so it can be assessed without a dozen back-and-forth queries.

Notice what is not on that list: choosing your insurer, quoting your premium, collecting your money, or promising your claim will be paid. Those are not ours to do, and we would rather lose the enquiry than pretend otherwise.

Honest advice

When you do not need us — and we will say so

A documentation desk that only ever says "yes, come in" is not being straight with you. Plenty of insurance paperwork is simple enough to handle alone, and the insurer's own portal or branch will do it for free. You probably do not need us when:

  • Your documents are already in order and consistent, and you are comfortable uploading them to the insurer's portal yourself.
  • You are simply renewing an existing policy with no changes — many insurers make this a two-minute online task.
  • Your insurer has assigned you a licensed agent or relationship manager who is already handling your forms.
  • The claim is small, straightforward, and the hospital's or garage's insurance desk is guiding you through it.

Where we genuinely earn our fee is the messier middle: a name or address that does not match across your papers and keeps tripping the system, a reimbursement claim that has to be built quickly and correctly, a first-ever policy where you are unsure what half the form is asking, or a situation where you simply want a careful second pair of eyes before you submit. If your case is the simple kind, we will tell you to go ahead on your own — and point you to the insurer's portal to do it.

Stay safe

Red flags — with insurance, be a careful buyer

Because insurance touches money and health, it attracts a certain amount of bad behaviour. A few of these are worth carrying with you whoever you deal with, us included.

  • Nobody unlicensed should be selling you a policy. If a firm that is not a licensed insurer or IRDAI-registered intermediary is pushing you to buy a specific policy, that is a problem regardless of how helpful they seem.
  • Premium is paid to the insurer, not to a helper. We never collect premium, and you should be wary of anyone who asks you to hand over premium money to a documentation firm or an individual.
  • "Guaranteed claim approval" is a myth. No honest person can promise your claim will be paid. Claims are decided by the insurer against your policy wording.
  • Read the policy wording — really. The document that governs what you are covered for is your own policy, not a brochure or a WhatsApp forward. If a promise is not in the wording, it does not exist.
  • Watch for lookalike urgency. Countdown timers and "last day" pressure are sales tactics, not deadlines set by law — with one real exception, the legal requirement to keep valid motor third-party cover.

We would rather you leave this page a more careful buyer than a more trusting one. A well-informed client who does half the work themselves is worth more to our reputation than a confused one who hands us everything.

Your documents

How we handle the paperwork you share

Insurance files carry some of the most sensitive information people own — Aadhaar and PAN, bank details, hospital records, vehicle papers. We treat them accordingly. Documents you share are used only for the specific task you have asked us to help with, kept only as long as that task needs them, and handled under our confidentiality and document-handling practices. When the work is done, you can ask us to return or delete the copies we hold.

We also keep our own paperwork transparent. Before any work starts, you get a fixed professional fee for the documentation help, quoted in writing — never a premium, never a payment routed to an insurer, and never a percentage of anything. If your task turns out to be simpler than expected, we say so. This is the same standard we hold across every desk at Harsiddhi Services, from our other centre services to GST and passport work.

If you are comparing this against the certificate and financial-document side of what we do, the honest positioning is identical everywhere: we are facilitators, not the authority. The insurer decides on insurance exactly as the passport office decides on a passport. Our job is to make sure your side of the paperwork gives that decision the cleanest possible start.

Before you decide

The bottom line

You now know the documents, the steps and the pitfalls. What we add is nine years of doing this daily — and a fixed price for taking the whole job off your desk. The quote is free; the time you save is yours.

FAQs

Insurance documentation, asked and answered

Does Harsiddhi Services sell insurance policies?
No. We are a documentation and application-assistance firm, not an insurer and not an IRDAI-licensed agent or broker. We do not solicit or sell any policy, do not recommend one insurer over another, and do not quote premiums as offers. We only help you understand what a policy generally covers and prepare and organise your own paperwork. The choice of policy and every claim decision rest with you and the insurer under IRDAI rules.
If you do not sell policies, what exactly do you do?
Four things. We explain insurance concepts in plain language so you can decide for yourself; we help you gather and check the documents a proposal or claim needs; we help you fill the insurer's own forms correctly; and we help you assemble a clean claim file when you have to make a claim. All of it is paperwork and education. We never handle premium payment, never advise you to buy a particular product, and never influence the insurer's decision.
Which types of insurance paperwork do you help with?
Primarily two: vehicle (motor) insurance and health insurance. For vehicles we help with document sets for a new policy, renewal, and motor-claim paperwork. For health we help with proposal-form documents and hospital-claim files, whether cashless or reimbursement. Both are covered in more depth on their own pages linked from here.
Will you tell me which policy or insurer to buy?
No, and it would be against the law for an unlicensed firm to solicit a specific policy. We will explain the difference between, say, third-party and comprehensive motor cover, or cashless and reimbursement health claims, so you understand your own options. The actual purchase decision is yours, made directly with a licensed insurer or IRDAI-registered intermediary.
How much do you charge for insurance documentation help?
A fixed professional fee for the documentation work, quoted to you in writing before we begin. It depends on what the task involves — a straightforward document check is smaller than assembling a full reimbursement claim file. The fee is only for our paperwork help; it is never a premium and never a payment to any insurer.
Do you collect the insurance premium from me?
Never. We do not collect premium, and we are not permitted to. Premium is paid by you directly to the insurer through the insurer's own channels. If anyone asks you to hand insurance premium to a documentation firm, treat it as a warning sign.
Can you guarantee my claim will be approved?
No one honest can. A claim is approved or rejected by the insurer against the specific policy wording. What we can do is help you file a complete, well-organised claim with the documents the insurer asks for, so avoidable rejections for missing or mismatched paperwork are less likely. The outcome still rests with the insurer.
Is third-party vehicle insurance really compulsory?
Yes. Under Section 146 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, every motor vehicle used in a public place must carry at least third-party insurance. Driving without it is an offence under Section 196, punishable with a fine and possible imprisonment. Our vehicle insurance page explains the law and the documents in detail.
Do you keep copies of my documents?
Only for as long as the task needs, and only with your knowledge. Insurance paperwork contains sensitive personal and financial details, so we handle it under our document-handling and confidentiality practices. You can ask us to return or delete copies once the work is complete.
Can you help someone outside Vadodara?
Document review, form-filling guidance and claim-file organisation can be done over WhatsApp and email for people anywhere. Anything needing original documents in hand is easier at our Chhani Jakatnaka office. Tell us your situation and we will say honestly what can be done remotely.
Is what you tell me financial or insurance advice?
No. Everything on these pages and everything we explain in person is general and educational. It is not financial, legal or insurance advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy any product. For advice about which policy suits you, speak to a licensed insurer or IRDAI-registered intermediary; for the terms that apply to you, read your own policy wording.
When do I not need your help at all?
Often. If your documents are already in order and you are comfortable filling the insurer's form and uploading them yourself, you do not need us — the insurer's own portal or branch handles it free. We are useful when the paperwork is confusing, when a claim file needs assembling under pressure, or when a name or address mismatch across documents is causing problems.
Do you have any tie-up with insurance companies?
No. We do not represent, partner with, or earn commission from any insurer, and we do not display insurer logos as endorsements. Our only relationship is with you, the person whose paperwork we are helping to prepare. That independence is deliberate — it keeps our advice about documents, not about selling you a product.

Not sure whether this is a job for you or for us?

Message us what you are dealing with — a new motor policy, a renewal, a hospital claim, or a form you cannot make sense of. We will tell you honestly whether you can handle it yourself, and if we can help, what the documentation work involves and what the fixed fee would be. No policy pitch, no premium quote.
