Official government links, the genuine ones
Lookalike websites are everywhere, and they cost people money. This is a curated directory of the real, official portals for each service we assist with — every link a genuine government address, with one honest line on what it is for.
Typical reply within minutes during office hours.
The 2-minute shortcut
Photograph your documents, send them on WhatsApp, and we take it from there — verification, drafting, filing and follow-up, with updates at every stage.
You only visit if the rules require your presence. Most clients never do.
Use the real portal — always
For every government service there are private websites that mimic the official one. Some quietly charge for what the government provides free; others exist only to harvest your personal details or push you toward a paid "agent". The rule that protects you is simple: fees, forms, application status and the actual rules are authoritative only on the government's own portal, never on a private site that merely describes them. Below is a directory of the genuine addresses, grouped by topic, with one honest line on what each one does.
We include this precisely because we are an independent firm, not a portal — we would rather you reach the right official website than mistake a lookalike for us. If a site's address does not end in .gov.in or .nic.in, treat it with caution, and remember that a paid advertisement can appear above the real result in a search.
How to spot the official site
Check the domain ending (.gov.in or .nic.in), look for https, and read past the sponsored ads at the top of search results to the genuine entry beneath. When in doubt, send us the link before you enter anything or pay — we will tell you honestly whether it is the real portal.
Gazette portals
- egazette.gujarat.gov.in — The Gujarat state e-gazette. Search and download published Gujarat notifications, including name and surname changes; this is where your published entry lives as a free PDF.
- egazette.gov.in — The Gazette of India — the central government's e-gazette, used for national-level notifications rather than Gujarat state changes.
Passport portals
- passportindia.gov.in — Passport Seva — the single official system to apply for or re-issue a passport, book an appointment, pay the government fee and track your application status.
- Passport Document Advisor — The official tool that generates the exact list of documents your specific passport category needs — the authoritative answer to 'which papers do I bring?'.
- mea.gov.in — Ministry of External Affairs — the parent department that sets passport policy and publishes the rules Passport Seva operates under.
Tax portals
- gst.gov.in — The GST portal — the only official place to register, file returns, make payments and track your application by its ARN. Registration here carries no government fee.
- incometax.gov.in — The Income Tax e-filing portal — file income-tax returns, link PAN with Aadhaar, and register or update a Digital Signature Certificate for e-filing.
Digital signature and corporate portals
- cca.gov.in — Controller of Certifying Authorities — the government regulator for Digital Signature Certificates and the authority that licenses every legitimate issuer.
- cca.gov.in/licensed_ca.html — The official list of licensed Certifying Authorities allowed to issue DSCs — check any issuer against this before trusting it.
- mca.gov.in — Ministry of Corporate Affairs — the portal for company and LLP filings, most of which must be signed with a Class 3 DSC.
- dgft.gov.in — Directorate General of Foreign Trade — governs import-export (IEC) work; its filings are signed using a registered DSC.
- icegate.gov.in — ICEGATE — the customs electronic gateway, where customs and trade filings are made using a DSC.
Aadhaar, PAN, EPFO and DigiLocker
- uidai.gov.in — UIDAI — the Aadhaar authority; the official source for enrolment rules and for updating your address, mobile number and other details.
- myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in — The self-service Aadhaar portal for online updates, downloading your e-Aadhaar, and checking update status.
- protean-tinpan.com — One of the two official PAN service providers (formerly NSDL) for new PAN applications and corrections.
- pan.utiitsl.com — UTIITSL — the other government-authorised PAN service provider, for new PAN and reprints or corrections.
- epfindia.gov.in — EPFO — the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation portal for members and employers to manage PF accounts and claims.
- digilocker.gov.in — DigiLocker — the government's official document wallet, where verified digital documents can be stored and shared securely.
Gujarat state services
- garvi.gujarat.gov.in — GARVI — the Gujarat registration and stamps portal, used for property registration and related state services.
- stampsregistration.gujarat.gov.in — The Superintendent of Stamps, Gujarat — official information on stamp duty and e-stamping in the state.
For plain-English definitions of the portals and terms above, see the glossary, and for a picture of how each service flows from start to finish, the process flowcharts. If you are ever unsure which portal your task needs — or a private site is asking you to pay for something that should be free — message us the link first and we will check it for you.
One caution worth repeating: bookmark the genuine portals once, and reach them from your bookmarks rather than by searching each time. Search results change, advertisements move, and a moment's inattention is all a lookalike site needs. The addresses above will not change often; your saved bookmark is the safest door back to each of them.
