DSC pricing: quoted on request, honestly

A digital signature does not have one price, so we do not pretend it does. The cost depends on the validity you choose, the certificate type, and whether you need a USB token. Tell us those and you get an exact figure — most individual certificates are issued within about 24 hours.

Why we quote a DSC on request

You will see plenty of websites advertising a digital signature at one eye-catching number. Look closely and it is almost always the cheapest possible combination — shortest validity, individual certificate, no token — and the real total climbs once you pick what you actually need. We would rather not play that game.

A Digital Signature Certificate is a genuine product with variable inputs. Quoting a single headline figure and adjusting it at the counter is a small dishonesty we choose to avoid. Instead, we ask you three quick questions, price your exact combination through a licensed certifying authority, and give you one complete figure with the certifying-agency charge and token both included. No number here to anchor you to; an accurate number for your case instead.

What a DSC is, briefly

A DSC is your legally valid electronic signature, used to sign filings and documents online — GST, company/MCA filings, income tax, e-tenders and more. Most such filing now uses a Class 3 certificate. If you are new to it, start at the DSC services hub.

Cost factors

The three things that set the price

Your quote is built from three inputs. Understanding them helps you choose well rather than just cheaply.

  • Validity period — 1, 2 or 3 years. A longer validity costs more up front but is usually better value over time, because you avoid paying for renewal and a new token sooner. A 3-year certificate is the common choice for anyone signing regularly. See DSC renewal for how validity plays out later.
  • Certificate type — individual or organisation. An individual certificate is for signing in your own name. An organisation certificate lets you sign on behalf of a company and needs extra verification of the entity, which affects both cost and timeline.
  • USB token — new or reused. A Class 3 DSC must sit on a secure, FIPS-compliant USB token; it cannot be issued as a plain downloadable file. If you already own a compatible token, we can often reuse it and your cost drops. If not, a token is part of the quote.

Whatever the combination, the certifying-agency charge and the token (where needed) are shown as identified components of one total — nothing is added afterwards. That is the same government-fee-separate, no-surprises principle set out on our all-pricing page.

Turnaround

Usually issued within about 24 hours

Speed is where a DSC is genuinely fast, and honestly so. For an individual applicant using paperless Aadhaar-based eKYC and a short video verification, a Class 3 certificate is typically issued within about 24 hours. There is no waiting weeks; the process is largely online.

Organisation certificates take a little longer, because the certifying authority must verify the entity and the authorised signatory with additional documents. When we quote, we give you the realistic timeline for your exact case alongside the price — an individual token you can often collect the next day, an organisation certificate a little after. As with everything we do, the timeline is stated as typical, not guaranteed, because the certifying authority runs the final verification. Installation help is covered in our DSC installation guide.

Your quote

How to get your exact figure

It takes one short message. Tell us:

  1. What you need it for. GST, MCA/company filing, income tax, e-tender, or general signing — this confirms the certificate class and type.
  2. Individual or organisation. Signing in your own name, or on behalf of a company.
  3. Validity and token. 1, 2 or 3 years, and whether you already own a compatible USB token.

With those three answers we send back one complete figure, the timeline for your case, and the short list of documents needed. No obligation, and nothing added later. Message us on WhatsApp, use any channel on the contact page, or read more first on the DSC hub and the DSC FAQs.

Before you decide

The bottom line

You now know the process, the documents and the pitfalls. What we add is nine years of doing this daily — and a fixed price for taking the whole job off your desk. The quote is free; the time you save is yours.

FAQs

DSC pricing questions, answered straight

Why do you not show a fixed DSC price?
Because a single number would mislead you. A DSC's cost depends on the validity you choose (1, 2 or 3 years), whether it is an individual or organisation certificate, and whether you need a new USB token or already have one. We give you an exact quote for your specific combination rather than a headline price that changes the moment you pick your options.
What affects the price of a DSC?
Three main things: validity period (a 3-year certificate costs more than 1-year but is better value over time), the certificate type (individual versus organisation, the latter needing extra verification), and the USB token (a fresh FIPS-compliant token adds to the cost; reusing a compatible one you own reduces it). We factor all three into your quote.
How quickly can I get a DSC?
For an individual applicant using paperless Aadhaar-based eKYC and video verification, a Class 3 DSC is typically issued within about 24 hours. Organisation certificates take a little longer because they require additional documents and verification. We tell you the realistic timeline for your case when we quote.
Do I need to buy a USB token separately?
A Class 3 DSC must be stored on a secure FIPS-compliant USB token — it cannot legitimately be issued as a downloadable file. If you already own a compatible token, we can often load the certificate onto it and your cost is lower. If not, a token is included in the quote. We will not issue a certificate in an insecure way to save a token cost.
Is the token cost included in your quote?
Yes. When we quote a DSC, the certifying-agency charge and the token (if you need one) are included as clearly identified components, so you see one complete figure with nothing added later. If you are reusing your own token, that component simply drops out.
Which DSC do I need for GST, MCA or tenders?
Most statutory filing today uses a Class 3 certificate — for GST, MCA/ROC company filings, income tax, and e-tendering. An organisation certificate is needed where you sign on behalf of a company. Tell us the exact purpose and we will confirm the right type and give you the matching quote so you do not pay for more than you need.

Want your exact DSC figure?

Tell us the purpose, whether it is individual or organisation, the validity you want, and if you already have a token. We send back one complete price and a realistic timeline — most individual certificates ready in about a day.
